As the nights draw in the curtain rises on fabulous entertainment for all - don't miss Vivaldi's Four Seasons by Candlelight at Sunderland Empire Theatre in November. Also from mid- November, Leaplish Waterside Park at kielder will become a Winter Wonderland full of surprises for all the family. And in December, Durham Christmas Festival brings the city alive with specialist market stalls, music and street theatre, and the Lantern Boat parade at Hartlepool Marina promises to be absolutely magical.
