The craft centre occupies a former Chapel of Ease dating from the 1st half of the 18thC. It adjoins the 13thC Chantry which now houses the tourist office and Bagpipe Museum. The work of over 60 Northumbria craft workers, selected for its quality, is on display for sale and artists regularly demonstrate their skills. Northumbrian talent on display includes colourful examples of glass, ceramics and wood sitting side by side with exquisite collections of jewellery to suit all pockets. Original paintings from Northumbrian artists can be bought.
